Sponsorship Opportunities

Donations are currently being sought for the following medallions:

Famed character actor and western "bad man" Morgan Woodward guest starred on more episodes of "Gunsmoke" than anyone else. One of his best known characters was "Lobo" while he is also known as the pre-eminent "bad guy" in "Cool Hand Luke". You can help sponsor Morgan's medallion with your generous donation....

You need not have a PAYPAL account. You may use your Visa, Discover or Mastercard.

Sidewalk Medallions

Placed throughout the trail, the 24-inch brass medallions honor each individual Trail of Fame inductee. The medallions identify each person and are designed and cast to be unique to that individual. Categories included are: lawmen, gunfighters, cattlemen, buffalo hunters, military, early pioneers, women of the west, stage, screen, television and local celebrities. Additional medallions will be placed in historic downtown areas. Placement of the medallions is expected to continue well into the future as Dodge City commemorates it's special western heritage! Sponsorship of the medallions is available to support the Dodge City Trail of Fame. An 8" x 8" sponsorship brick will appear in one corner of the medallion with the legend of your choice and a sponsor identification brick will go to the sponsor. Medallion sponsorship is an ideal way to memorialize someone who is very special to you. A number of memorials are already in place. Contact us for more information.

Celebrity Appearance

Each induction ceremony will include a living celebrity when possible, providing additional publicity and interest in the Trail of Fame. We were honored to host Dennis Weaver for our first induction ceremony in 2003. Weaver, who played Chester Goode on TV's Gunsmoke, was the first of many celebrities inducted into the Stage, Screen and Television category. In 2004 we honored Buck Taylor who appeared as Newly O'Brien on “Gunsmoke". In 2005 we hosted the Official "Gunsmoke" 50th Anniversary celebration bringing people from all over the country to Dodge City. We hope to dedicate more "Gunsmoke" medallions in 2010 when we host the 55th Anniversary of the longest running TV western of all time here in Dodge City. Sponsorship of celebrities includes a private reception with the celebrity. Other promotional opportunities are available.
